Kimberly Gail Williams, 19, of Cedar Springs Drive was arrested Friday at Walmart where she tried to steal two bottles of perfume and struggled with a store loss prevention officer, Athens-Clarke County police said.
When police arrived at Walmart they said Williams was trying to pull away from the store security employee, and that she also tried pulling away from a police officer. The officer had to draw a Taser to convince the teen to stop resisting, according to police. The employee told of how Williams allegedly switched the perfume’s price labels with those from less expensive merchandise then took the perfume to the self-check-out area.
Williams was charged with theft by deception and obstruction.
