Jose Alberto Barrow-Parris, was arrested early Tuesday after a dispute with his girlfriend at their home at The Lodge of Athens on North Avenue, Athens-Clarke County police said.
During the dispute, which involved an argument about money, Barrow-Parris reportedly caused about $2,000 in damage by throwing the 21-year-old University of Georgia student’s laptop computer into a TV and also throwing her cellphone, according to police.
Barrow-Parris was charged with criminal trespass/damage to property under the state Family Violence Act, police said.
