Skiler Williams, 23, was arrested last Saturday after she allegedly drove while intoxicated with her two young sons in the car, Athens-Clarke County police said.
When responding to a report of disabled vehicle on Gaines School Road, police found Williams’ car stopped in the roadway at Cedar Creek Drive, with her sons, ages 1 and 3 in the car.
An officer who was familiar with Williams indicated she “was not in the same state as she usually is,” police said, and the woman admitted to having taken some prescription medication earlier in the day.
Williams failed roadside sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, two counts of endangering a child while DUI, impeding traffic, and driving on a learner’s permit without a licensed driver over 21.
