A pickup truck was reported stolen Thursday morning from Auto Zone, 1925 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens-Clarke County police aid.
A Winterville woman told police she brought the 1985 Chevrolet S-10 to the business five days earlier to have the brakes repaired, but it was gone when she went to retrieve it, according to police.
An employee told police he saw two men using a car to jump-start the truck Thursday morning before one of the men drove off in it, but at the time the employee thought it was the owner.
The pickup was red and displayed Madison County tag TMP989, police said.
