Clarke County grand jury last week indicted a man for allegedly shooting and wounding another man three months ago in east Athens.
Kenton Niderick “Kent” Daniel, a 28-year-old convicted felon, used a stolen handgun when he shot the victim on July 1 in the Nellie B Homes housing complex, according to the indictment filed in Clarke County Superior Court.
He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and theft by receiving stolen property, according to the indictment.
