A paroled felon led police on a 6-mile chase Tuesday morning that ended when a Georgia State Patrol trooper forced the suspect’s truck to spin out.
Athens-Clarke County police at first thought the fleeing felon was a convicted bomb-maker wanted by federal authorities, but it turned out he was the bomb-maker’s twin brother.
The man arrested Tuesday was Vincent Dean Dooley, 50, of Jefferson. He was currently on parole from a robbery conviction in Clarke County Superior Court.
