Jeremy Martinez and his mother won’t be able to attend Thursday’s “Meet & Greet” with his new teacher.
The 10-year-old Athens boy also likely won’t be joining his fifth grade classmates the following week as they begin the new school year at Gaines Elementary School.
And when he does start classes and he talks with friends about his summer vacation, any good stories likely will be overshadowed by the horrifically July ended.
