A retired University of Georgia professor arrested earlier this year on drug charges was accepted Wednesday into a pretrial intervention program.
If Charles Eugene Lance successfully completes the program, the misdemeanor charges will be dismissed.
UGA police said Lance, a psychology teacher, was arrested in March after he allegedly asked a student to purchase prescription drugs for him while she was on spring break in Mexico.
Police Chief Jimmy Williamson said Lance reportedly described the medication to his students as the “happy, horny, get skinny” drug.
