Athens-Clarke County police said Tuesday that they had obtained arrest warrants for a suspect in the stabbing of a man the day before at an apartment complex near downtown Athens.
The warrants charge 28-year-old Lamarcus Matron Johnson for the stabbing of Ryan Jerrell Faust, 22, of Spring Valley Road.
Police said that Johnson stabbed Faust in the stomach during an argument at Bethel Midtown Village.
Johnson, who ran from the crime scene, had a last known address on Eastwood Court, according to police.
The suspect has a history of violent crime and other offenses.
