An Athens man on Monday was handed a 15-year-sentence in connection with a DUI wreck on the Athens Perimeter more than three years ago in which three people were seriously injured.
Freddie Johnson, 57, of Westchester Drive, must serve the first four years of the sentence in prison and the balance on probation, according to the sentencing sheet filed in Clarke County Superior Court.
As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Johnson pleaded guilty to six counts of serious injury by vehicle, DUI, driving with an unlawful alcohol concentration and operating an uninsured vehicle.
