An alert neighbor possibly helped save a man’s life Monday night by calling 911 when she thought he might be in trouble, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The Sycamore Drive resident reported at about 8:40 p.m. that she saw her neighbor walking down the road toward the Middle Oconee River and that he appeared to be disoriented, police said.
She explained to a dispatcher that the 39-year-old man had recently been struck by a car, according to police.
