Leilani Rochelle Simone Frazier, 17, was arrested Thursday after she threatened to assault her mother and threatened to kill her mother’s dog, Athens-Clarke County policed said.
When police arrived at the family’s home on Riverbend Parkway, the first thing the mother said to them was a plea to take Frazier to jail “because she can’t be around this disrespectful child,” according to police.
Officers heard the teen call her mother “a bitch” in the presence of the officers, police said.
The 40-year-old woman stated the threats were made during an argument that began when she refused to let Frazier use a computer tablet, which the teen reportedly uses to go online and communicate with adult males, police said.
She told police she was fearful of her daughter, who she said has hit her in the past, according to police. While arguing, Frazier reportedly poured Kool-Aid on the floor of her mother’s bedroom, and also twisted the collar of the dog she was holding while threatening to kill it.
Frazier was charged under the state Family Violence Act with criminal trespass/damage to property and simple assault.
