Brant Aaron Roberts, 23, of Bethlehem was arrested Saturday night after he was kicked out of a strip club downtown for his conduct and continued his disruptive behavior on the sidewalk, Athens-Clarke County police said.
Police said when they responded to a 10:20 p.m. report of a fight in progress at Toppers International Showbar on North Jackson Street they found Roberts being held down by a friend on the sidewalk outside, apparently to keep him from going back inside the club.
After being told by police to move along, Roberts walked to the next street corner where he began taunting someone on the other side of the street. He was arrested when he allegedly became confrontational with police.
Charged with disorderly conduct, Roberts was found to have in his wallet some white powder, which police said they were going to send to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s laboratory for testing.
