An Oak Park Circle resident on Friday made good a threat he made to neighbors that he would shoot their dogs if they came onto his property, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The 44-year-old man told police he issued the warning to his neighbors because he grown tired of stepping in the faces the dogs left in his yard.
Police said they spoke with the man Friday afternoon after one of the neighbors complained her dog was shot with a pellet gun and she was unable to stop the bleeding.
Saying she wanted to press charges, police said they explained the arrest warrant application process to her and also made a recommendation for a local animal clinic for her inured pet.
