A 63-year-old woman called 911 Saturday night because she was fearful of a son who lived with her who was doing drugs and “acting a fool” Athens-Clarke County police said.
The son had not been accused by his mother of committing any crimes, police said, so when they made contact with him as he walked on the street there was nothing they could do when he refused to speak with them. His mother reportedly told police she wanted her son out of her house because he is argumentative and disrespectful toward her husband.
Police said they told the woman to call 911 again in the future if her son causes any problems. They also advised that she could go to court to file an eviction notice.
