Frederick Lee Malcom Jr., 23, of Nicole Circle was arrested Saturday afternoon by police who reportedly were investigating a woman’s complaint that he stole car keys from her on Vine Street. During the investigation, it was found that Malcom had three outstanding arrest warrants.
Athens-Clarke County police said that after they found Malcom at a Carver Drive residence, the woman told them she just wanted her keys back and did not wish to prosecute. Malcom was taken into custody, however, when police learned of the warrants — one of which was for a felony probation violation and two of which were for failure to appear in court.
