Tovorick Anicko Parrish, 42, of West Carver Drive was arrested early Tuesday morning after his car was stopped for a traffic violation and he was found in possession of illegal drugs, Athens-Clarke police said.
An officer pulled Parrish over about 2:45 a.m. because he did not stop at the end of an Athens Perimeter exit ramp, according to police.
Upon noticing a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, police conducted a search that turned up three bags of cocaine, a digital scale and an unidentified pill which Parrish gave different reasons for having, police said.
Parrish was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of prescription medication outside of the original container and failure to obey a stop sign.
