A University of Georgia student was arrested early Sunday after he was seen running across Oconee Street with a stolen “road closed” sign, Athens-Clarke County police said.
Douglas Scott Durham, 22, reportedly told police he took the sign because he thought it would look good in his North Finley Street apartment.
Durham, who was accompanied by police as he returned the sign to where he took it, was charged with public intoxication.
