A 1-year-old girl suffered a severe head injury Monday afternoon when a large mirror fell on her in her home at the Pinewood Estates North mobile home park off U.S. Highway 29 North, Athens-Clarke County police said.
When officers arrived, they found the girl bleeding profusely from a large gash on her head, which her mother said occurred when the child caused the mirror to fall while playing, according to police.
The girl was taken to Athens Regional Medical Center, according to police, who said there was nothing suspicious.
