Athens-Clarke County police said they responded to Franklin Gun Shop on Atlanta Highway Sunday on the owner’s concern about a customer who he saw place several unloaded revolvers to her chest and pull the trigger.
The 41-year-old woman appeared to be embarrassed as she explained to police she was asking a sales associate about whether it was better to shoot an intruder in the head or chest and that she pointed weapons at herself during this conversation.
The woman reportedly told police she was fine and she declined an offer to be seen by EMS personnel. At the request of the shop’s owner, the woman was barred for two years.
