Nicholas Brown, 22, was arrested for alleged drunken driving Sunday night after his car collided into the rear of another vehicle on the Athens Perimeter, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The driver of the other vehicle said she was in the left lane when Brown’s speeding car came up from behind in the right lane and then changed lanes just prior to the collision, according to police.
Brown, who reportedly told police he did not know what happened, failed roadside sobriety tests and was later taken to the hospital where a blood sample was taken, police said.
The Commerce resident was charged with DUI, following another vehicle too closely and driving too fast for conditions.
