Joseph Dillon Howell, 27, was arrested early Saturday after he showed up drunk at the Willow Street residence of a pair of female University of Georgia students and broke a window by banging on it, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The Conyers resident was unable to give a reason for being at the home, where police said they found him bleeding from a cut on the hand he suffered from breaking the window.
“Talking with Howell did not clear up the reason he was at this house, since he lost his thought process a couple of times and would talk about something different than this incident,” an officer noted in a police report.
Howell was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass to property.
A National EMS ambulance crew tended to the injured man, who refused to go to the hospital, police said.
