Two people were killed in a weekend quadruple shooting in Elberton in what authorities are calling a domestic violence incident.

Raphael Diaz de Leon reportedly got into an argument Saturday night with his girlfriend concerning his drinking when he opened fired, killing Alyric Fouch, his girlfriend's 17-year-old daughter.

The girlfriend tried to run away, getting into a car she flagged down on the street, at which time police said Diaz de Leon fired his gun into the car, wounding his girlfriend and the driver.

He then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide, according to police.

The girlfriend, 44-year-old Ronda Cureton, and the driver were both treated at a local hospital and released.

Monday morning, Cureton posted on Facebook her thoughts about having survivor's guilt, and also about how the school week had begun without her daughter.

"Alyric Fouch should be in school right now. She'd be texting me & saying 'Ma, I 4got I gotta stay after school today. So I need a ride. And be on time,'" the woman posted.

"She was always the last one running out the house to catch the bus, but she would always say 'Bye Ma!'  I'd give anything to get that text or hear those words again."

Fouch's school, Elbert County Comprehensive High School, will be holding a candlelight vigil in the student's memory at 8 p.m. Tuesday on the band practice field .
