Two women were arrested Sunday night after they allegedly assaulted a woman at Nellie B Homes and followed the victim into her residence and beat her some more, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The victim told police the assault was part of a pattern of “abuse and harassment” by one of the alleged offenders.
According to police, the victim said she received a threatening text message from 23-year-old Wayna Shanice Henderson, and when going outside of her apartment she saw Henderson arrive with 24-year-old Shameta Reshaun Scott and other females in two vehicles.
After the initial attack, police said, the women followed the victim into her apartment where they hit her in the face and dragged her around on the floor.
Henderson and Scott were each charged with battery and criminal trespass/damage to property.
