A manager at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, 4050 Lexington Road, reported he fought Monday afternoon with one of a pair of shoplifters, Athens-Clarke County police said.
When the manager tried to stop the suspects from leaving the store, one of the suspects briefly struggled with him before running from the store and heading toward the Athens Gardens apartment complex, police said. The other suspect reportedly left the store without incident when confronted by management.
The manager said the suspect he fought with stole six pairs of music headphones and a phone charger, and the other suspect also stole six pairs of headphones, according to police.
