An official with the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia on Thursday reported a 29-year-old Crawford woman stole 1,513 boxes of Girl Scouts cookies valued at $6,052, Athens-Clarke County police said.
The woman reportedly picked up the cookies from the scout’s Mitchell Bridge Road supply facility between Feb. 12 and March 2, police said, and she supposedly was to pay for the cookies through a payment plan.
The Girl Scouts official told police the suspect had not made any payments and attempts to reach her were unsuccessful. The official filed a police report because she indicated she wished to prosecute the suspect, police said.
