Helen Johnson, 66, of Crane Drive, was arrested Tuesday night after she reportedly called to report “strange events that were spiritual in nature,” Athens-Clarke County police said.
When officers arrived at her home, Johnson told them she wanted police to make more patrols of her neighborhood, police said. When running her information through a law enforcement database, it was learned she was wanted on an arrest warrant in Decatur County in southwest Georgia, police said.
Johnson was booked into the local jail at 11:46 p.m. and released “per Decatur County” at 9:14 a.m. Thursday, according to the Clarke County Jail website.
