A 15-year-old student was arrested at Cedar Shoals High School Friday morning after she was found in possession of a stun gun, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report released Tuesday.
After receiving information the girl had the weapon and that she planned to use it on another student, police said a school resource officer was escorting her to the security office when she cursed at him and swung an elbow, striking the officer in the shoulder, police said. Upon arriving at the office, the girl’s purse was emptied and the stun gun was found.
The girl was charged with simple battery on a police officer and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
