Sheriff Ira Edwards Jr. and the entire Clarke County Sheriff’s Office Team are proud to recognize Sergeant Farrell Johnson, Deputy Bright Onye, Deputy Joseph Bennett and Deputy Torin Jackson by awarding them the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office Lifesaving Recognition Pin. During the month of July, an inmate at the Clarke County Jail suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. Sgt. Johnson, Deputy Onye, Deputy Bennett and Deputy Jackson, successfully resuscitated the inmate. The “Lifesaving Recognition Pin” is awarded to an employee for an act performed in the line of duty, which through prompt and alert action results in saving the life of another.
