Jamie Hood on Tuesday accused the judge presiding over his capital murder trial of being biased.
He criticized Judge H. Patrick Haggard for his decision Monday to not allow Hood to question former Athens-Clarke County Police Chief Joseph “Jack” Lumpkin about a police officer fatally shooting Hood’s brother 14 years ago.
He also complained about the way Haggard is managing the trial.
“I feel you are pressing me to move my case faster than it is,” Hood told the judge on the trial’s 16th day.
