A motorist was stopped Monday night for driving without his car’s headlights on and his two passengers were subsequently arrested on drug charges, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.
During a traffic stop on West Broad Street, an officer noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and the driver reportedly told him a passenger “probably had some” pot, according to the report. A search of the vehicle reportedly turned up marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, needles and crack pipes.
