Authorities are asking the public’s assistance in locating an elderly Athens man who has not been seen since leaving his home at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Brister Hightower possibly suffers from dementia.
A search is focusing on the area of Brockett Drive off Jefferson River Road.
Members of the Athens-Clarke County police and fire departments and a Georgia State Patrol aviation unit are participating in the search.
