A violent offender on parole was arrested Tuesday for a shooting at a west Athens apartment building last week.
Garrick Tremaine Lyons, 37, allegedly shot into home at Fleetwood Apartments on Honeysuckle Lane during a possible drug dispute, according to an Athens-Clarke County police incident report.
Lyons, who in November was paroled from prison where he was serving time on an armed robbery conviction, has been in and out of jail and prison his entire adult life.
