A Clarke County Superior Court judge this week handed a 25-year sentence to a woman who had sexual intercourse with a 10-year-old autistic boy while her boyfriend allegedly held a knife to the victim’s throat.
As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Melissa Nicole Jones, 27, must serve the first 13 years in prison and testify against her boyfriend when Matthew Wilson Freethy-Swimm goes to trial.
In the agreement, Jones pleaded guilty to child molestation, sexual battery and statutory rape.
